Rev. John Patterson
President & Ministry Director
Rev. Patterson worked as a commercial building products representative for over two decades before he was ordained into the Christian ministry in 2008. He also broadcasted a local Christian radio program called Liberty in Law from 1989 to 1994. His prior service to others before entering the ministry favored the disabled and a few children who were orphaned. God has touched his heart to reach out to people with disabilities for a long time. After pastoring a small rural church for a year, he decided to devote his full energies to founding and building the St. James Fellowship. Starting at a facility for people with Alzheimer’s disease, the mission quickly moved forward to serving aging and disabled people in seven facilities and in their homes and apartments. Rev. John originally was ordained in the Anglican Orthodox Church and has since transferred his credentials to the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference. He is a guest preacher at Congregational, Baptist, Anglican, and Presbyterian Churches. It is his belief that among the most important and neglected people in the kingdom of God are those who struggle with loneliness, loss, aging, and disability.

Retired Colonel, USAF
Former Manager, Beatty Point Living
“St James Fellowship truly brings the love and friendship of Jesus Christ to the elderly and disabled. I first met Rev John Patterson in 2015 when I was working as an Assistant Resident Manager at an independent living facility in Monroeville. He began ministering to our residents by holding worship services, fellowship and individual counseling right in our facility. Because of advanced age, disabilities and illnesses, many of the residents were not able to worship outside of the facility. St James Fellowship brought the Church of Christ to the residents’ homes and enabled them to worship, and form a vibrant church community, right there. It’s a privilege for me to serve the Lord with the St James Fellowship.” – Ron Dornin, SJF Director
